VICTORIA’S SPARKS OF JOY

NEWSLETTER AUGUST 2022

Friends, it has been a while since we send out VSOJ news about our mission and accomplishments! During the unprecedented pandemic times, Victoria’s legacy continued achieving its mission to spread joy an provide much needed help to kids battling cancer at homes, hospitals, in our community and in the region and we never stopped delivering joy and a warm and delicious meal to the families at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House. It was an authentic joy to touch the lives of these kids and their families despite the serious situation with the Covid-19 pandemic.  Noteworthy to mention that without the help of our donors, volunteers, and collaborators this could not be possible! It is thanks to the efforts of many, that we can meet our purpose. The 2021 year was challenging, and we hope for a much better end of 2022!

Our Vicky’s Patient and Family Support program support the kids and their families during the fight against cancer and beyond. This program provides financial support and other essentials to the child battling and his/her family. This 2022 year, we have experienced a noticeable increase of kids (1 to 20 years old) referred to us from Children Hospital Los Angeles. Our Patient and Family program is providing help to more children than previous years. Social Services Department (at CHLA) is sending us more kids that are in great need. Families from around our region are contacting us to request our assistance due to the delicate situation of their child and the serious financial condition. We are making every effort possible to touch the lives of these kids and impact them in a very positive way.

We know that would be Victoria’s wish!

Victoria’s Meal of Joy

This year we said goodbye to nine volunteers that graduated from the different high schools in our town, Corona, CA.

Our programs give the opportunity to high schoolers to become part of the VSOJ team/mission to help us fulfill our purpose and at the same time give them the chance to build their community service hours record. This year we had the biggest group of highs schoolers leaving our team for their college endeavors.

We are proud to say that we have done all possible to help them grow and give them a great experience in the world of charity works.

Our sincere best wishes to them all for a successful and bright future!
